The session will
start with 1 hour of rigorous practice in order to increase physical and mental
agility. For the remaining 2 hours we will work through specific tasks towards
creating performance drafts of short duration, maximum 1-5 minutes.
Participants will be asked to work together in different constellations,
observe, interview and direct each other.
This work will give
us the opportunity to challenge our creativity under time pressure and to get
to know each other through playing/performing. It is a way of working that
requires fast decision making, a quality I find crucial for improvisation
practice.
The content of this
workshop is informed by a wide variety of practices, such as Body Weather, my
work with the performance collective White Horse and the Pandora Project It also takes influences from many workshops
I have attended in the past, with artists such as David Zambrano, Katie Duck
and DD Dorvillier a.o.
